Domestic PEP

A domestic PEP is a person who holds — or has held within the last 5 years — a specific office or position in or on behalf of the Canadian federal government, a Canadian provincial government, or a Canadian municipal government, for example:

  • Governor General, lieutenant governor or head of government;
  • member of the Senate or House of Commons or member of a legislature;
  • deputy minister or equivalent rank;
  • ambassador, or attaché or counsellor of an ambassador;
  • military officer with a rank of general or above;
  • pesident of a corporation that is wholly owned directly by Her Majesty in right of Canada or a province;
  • head of a government agency;
  • judge of an appellate court in a province, the Federal Court of Appeal or the Supreme Court of Canada;
  • leader or president of a political party represented in a legislature; or
  • ayor, reeve or other similar chief officer of a local government (municipal governments include cities, towns, villages and rural (county) or metropolitan municipalities).

Foreign PEP

A foreign PEP is a person who holds or has held one of the following offices or positions in or on behalf of a foreign state:

  • head of state or head of government;
  • member of the executive council of government or member of a legislature;
  • deputy minister or equivalent rank;
  • ambassador, or attaché or counsellor of an ambassador;
  • military officer with a rank of general or above;
  • president of a state-owned company or a state-owned bank;
  • head of a government agency;
  • judge of a supreme court, constitutional court or other court of last resort; or
  • leader or president of a political party represented in a legislature.

HIO

The head of an international organization is a person who is either:

  • the head of an international organization established by the governments of states; or
  • the head of an institution established by an international organization.
  • an international sports organization.

When we refer to the head of an international organization or the head of an institution established by an international organization, we are referring to the primary person who leads that organization, for example a Managing Director, Director-General, President, CEO etc.

Agreement Language Statement for Online Credit Application

I hereby authorize Boardwalk 1000, LLC (dba Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City) ("HRHCAC") to obtain a consumer credit report and to conduct such other investigations as it deems necessary, and to furnish information concerning my credit record to other credit-reporting agencies and others who may properly receive this information.

I certify that I am twenty-one years of age or older. I understand that persons under the age of twenty-one (21) are not permitted to gamble. Accordingly, I must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older to apply for credit with HRHCAC. I am aware that false misrepresentation of my age on this application subjects me to criminal prosecution.

I certify that I have reviewed all the information provided on the application and verify that it is true and accurate. I authorize HRHCAC to conduct such investigations pertaining to the above information as it deems necessary for the approval of my credit limit. I acknowledge that this application is required by the laws of the State of New Jersey and the regulations promulgated by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, and that I may be subject to civil or criminal liability if any material information provided by me is knowingly false. I hereby authorize HRHCAC, in its sole discretion, to apply any and all chips that I may redeem first to the reduction of my outstanding credit balance, with the remainder, if any, to be returned to me. I further understand and agree that, in the event it becomes necessary for the HRHCAC to institute collection actions against me with respect to any credit granted by HRHCAC to me, I waive any jurisdictional objection to the claim being filed in the courts of Atlantic County in the State of New Jersey or the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, Camden County. I will be responsible for all costs and expenses associated with HRHCAC’s or its agents’ collection effort, including, but not limited to, reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs, and that I will be responsible for payment of interest on the credit from the date upon which I default on payment calculated at the rate of twelve percent (12%) per annum or the maximum rate allowed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, whichever is less.

I hereby release and waive, and agree not to bring at any time in the future, any claims or demands against NRT or its affiliates relating to any credit investigation made pursuant to my authorization and instructions herein, including, without limitation, the collection, processing, and transmission of my information and data.
